While Papa was paragliding in Colombia, Mama and Maya took a trip to California. We flew into Los Angeles, spent time with my cousin Colby in Santa Monica, took the train north to Carmel Valley to see my aunt and uncle and cousin Tom and family, drove Tom and Deanne's vanagon to Mountain View and spent a night with them there, then rented a car and continued on to Oakland to see my college roommate Sarah and family, and to Nevada City to see friends there, departing from Sacramento. Whew! We caught up with many friends and family members, saw a lot of the state, and made some memories!
